You should know by now that we love The National and they have just released a new song on soundcloud (listen below) for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. The soundtrack is not out until Tuesday, but has a decent looking line-up (see below for full track-listing). The movie itself is not out until a week on Friday and is quite keenly awaited with Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen, in this the second of four films made from the trilogy of books (work that one out).
Great to hear from one of our favourite bands again though (The National) and the band have stated that they were forced to change the name of this track – it was initially called “Dying is Easy” which was deemed too dark and thus it’s name was changed to “Lean”, but the song remains the same with lead singer Berninger chanting out “Dying is Easy” over and over again – although to be fair the films subject matter is not exactly a cheery subject (kids forced into an arena to fight against each other to the death!). The full track listing for the soundtrack is:

Of Monsters and Men – ‘Silhouettes’
